Just wonderin? Thinking of going all solar!

40,000 will get a smaller home off grid if you’re frugal. So, "not so frugal" + big house? I’d have to estimate around 100,000. You might want to put in some wind turbines too, so you can generate electricity at night, and on stormy days. And make sure you cut a deal with the local power company, so you can sell your excess, or buy a big storage system.

    I think it is quite expensive, however it is very recommended if you have the sunshine to abuse.
