various cost advantages and simplicity?only nuclear energy which is risk prone is widely talked about?
There is no advantage when it comes to meeting consumer need during higher demand times. Solar (i.e. photovoltaic-converters) can only ‘supply’ electrical power at the same rate that it can ‘receive’ solar/light power. As a power company, there’s no economical way you can increase production to meet increased demand. Since it’s ‘simple’ like that, there is the ‘illusion’ of an advantage. You as a consumer would have to find a way to store that electricity produced in the daytime, to get you through the night. Same way with wind turbines and the like. Unless you can make Mother Nature ‘blow/shine/flow/whatever a little harder" so you can convert a little more power at-will, those applications will never completely replace present systems.
Contrast that to coal-fired plants, which can simply burn more fuel to produce more electricity, coal gets the real ‘cost and simplicity’ advantages. But we’re talking about reduced carbon output so…
As for nuclear, modern plants do not have more ‘risks’ to operate than any other enterprise. Forget about Chernobyl, the Soviets and their Ukranian cohorts didn’t know what they were doing in the first place; we in the West wouldn’t even consider the same type of cooling material that they used. They used graphite, which is a flammable metal once you get it hot enough and that’s what did them in (on top of bad safety and accident-prevention procedures). We use water, so the compounded risk of core meltdown is way lower. Our Navy has been nuclear-powered for years, with Zero accidents/incidents related to their power source. They’re proof that the risks are quite manageable.
Nuclear plants increase electrical output by putting more fuel rods into play. That translates into more heat for their steam turbines, which then can spin more to produce more electricity as needed. It’s because of all that is why nuclear is the only other viable carbon-reduced alternative.

Homemade Solar Panel – How Much Does It Cost To Build A Homemade Solar Panel
I’m keen on building a home solar panel as that’s the way for present and future energy needs.
A solar panel with 12V electric output costs between $100-250 in the market. You can easily build your own homemade solar panel for $100 with parts you can get from the local hardware store. (The same applies to homemade wind power as well)
How do I do a science fair on solar energy with a thermoelectric generator? How would I ask the question?
For example, if I wanted to see how much waste energy from a house can be turned into usable electricity with a thermoelectric generator, how would I do that?
Or any more ideas?
And how would I word that into a question? "How much electricity can a thermoelectric generator power from waste heat from a house?" or something? PLEASE ASAP
The first question would be "How does the temperature of a thermoelectric device effect the electrical output?" You can measure the temperature fairly easily while measuring the intensity of sunlight is more difficult.
The most likely question about waste heat would be one of these two: "Can electricity be produced from the low level of waste heat from a house heating system?" "Is it cost effective to install thermoelectric generators in the heating system of a house?"

In every ecosystem, energy is transferred along food chains from one _______ to the next. But not all the ________ available to organisms at one tropic level can be absorbed by organisms at the next one. In fact, the amount of available energy _________. Some of the available energy goes into growth in _______ and the ________ of offspring. This energy does become available to the _______ tropic level. However, most of the available energy is used up in other ways:
Some is used up at the first tropic level as a result of ________, which uses up lots of solar energy in making glucose.
Some is used up in ________, and given of as heat.
Some is ________ in the form of biological material and heat, through ________. Some is for _________ and transport.
All the energy used in this ways _________ to the environment, and is not available to the next tropic level.

I’m planning on building a business. What would be the advantage of using solar cells or windmills to produce the power, or at least to keep the cost of electrical power down? The facility will be in the midwest and will be opened year round thru four seasons.
Ideally you could install what is called an hybrid system.
It is a combination of solar panels and wind turbine and its working fine.
The turbine will run 24 hours and the solar panels will produce electricity during the day.
Hello all and thank you for helping!
I’m building a solar panel with solar cells from ebay and I wanted to know what supplies will I need other than 1.Solar Cells 2.Soldering Gun 3.Solder 4.Flux Pen 5.Tabbing 6.Tabbing Wire 7.Bus Wire 8. Materials for the frame 9.12 Volt Batteries
What kind of power inverter do I need if I’m trying to charge 12 Volt Car Batteries? I need these supplies to be-able to handle a moderate amount of power because I want to keep adding on cells to my panel. I pretty much know how to make the panel but what all do I need to connect the home built Solar Panel to the batteries? I’m willing to spend around $500.00 to $800 for all the parts total a side from the solar cells. I have 140 3×6 cells I should be buying another 60 and want to make a panels that will charge car batteries. I need to know what parts and equipment I will need aside from the solar panels to to charge them. Equipment that that tells me how much power is flowing and if the batteries are charged are not. Thank you all for viewing my question I am very appreciative to all who help and answer.

the wattage of your power converter will depend on how much power you want to be able to use at any given time. buy one as big as you can afford, you could always add another converter in parallel later if the first one you buy isn’t big enough. the power converter will be used to convert the 12 volts from the batteries into 120 volts to power light, etc. solor panels should produce 12 volts and basically directly connect to the batteries.
Is there a store I can see and buy solar power products like lights and generators.
Lowes and Walmart both offer solar powered lights.
I plan to have a Solar Pannel Cells linked to Solar Power Inverter for converting DC to AC. My requirement is about 500Watts to 750 Watts , 220 volts AC current.
This be used to light fans, and lights during the day time inside my home.
Sunshine is no problem, at my location its more than abundant ( Lahore, Pakistan ).
Anyone have any idea of its cost ? And suppliers from China / Singapore / Dubai ?
Good place to search is in homepower and solar today magazines both have frequent reviews on inverters and both also are online. I have heard nothing but good things about sunnyboy brand.
